KNOWING THE HISTORY OF CATHOLIC CHURCHES IN CITY OF DETROIT


Roman Catholicism is one of the biggest religions in the world. It has been in existence for centuries and has reached a lot of people even in Western civilization. It is believed that there are more Roman Catholics than believers of other religions. In the United States, Detroit, Michigan is one of the places that were highly influenced by Roman Catholicism.
Humble Beginnings
It was greatly influenced that Detroit is home to a lot of Catholic churches. Detroit is also once known as the City of Churches. It all started with a humble chapel on the banks of Detroit River three hundred years ago. Over the years, Catholic churches sprouted in Michigan from both rural and urban areas. Many American designers picked up the architecture trend in Europe and adapted the styles to Catholic churches in Detroit.
